Meet the Team
Annette Hayden, Club Manager

Prior to this, Annette worked for Co-Op Travel and Thomas Cook for 20 years, 13 years as a shop manager. She has been to many places including Florida and Dubai. As well as working in the travel industry Annette has also taught it whilst working at a local college. In her spare time Annette is a football mummy to her 13 year old son who plays for Notts County.
Dave Brown, Gym & Support Manager
Dave joined the team in August 2011 and has a good background in Team Management from various industries such as Construction, Logistics & Training. Dave won the Mr Muscle Body-Building competition in 2008 and competed again in the UKBFF Classic in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Apart from Body-Building he has also trained for the Under-90kg Strongman Competition and is something he is still keen to pursue. He lives in Ilkeston with his family and hopes to continue to make a big impact at the club in the coming years.
Alison Haycock, Bar Manager
Our Ali she works up in the bar, She’s the most fragile & delicate by far. Her job is to serve up Lager & Whiskey, Some might say her humour is rather risky, But one thing’s for sure, it’s crystal clear, She loves a good laugh & she’s full of cheer, She also has a taste for the performing arts, Just ply her with drink and she’ll act all the parts. You really must go up and say hello, She’ll be pleased to see you and you will soon know, That Ali is not just a pretty little face, Her I.Q. will dazzle you & she’s so full of grace, If you visit with a smile she’ll be sure to take care, Of you, your drink and your fine chosen fayre.
Ellis Kyle, Gym Trainer
Ellis is a keen Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) with around 15 years’ experience in varying combative sports. At college, she studied Outdoor Adventurous Sport and Exercise Science where she also achieved her Gym Instructors qualification and continues to expand her knowledge within the fitness industry.
Aside from training regularly in MMA and working on her general fitness, Ellis enjoys spending time with friends and family and going on as many holidays as is economically possible! She is what most people (those that know her) would describe as “a little crazy”! Ellis has recently become a mum for the second time and is now back at work after returning from Maternity Leave.. Welcome back Ellis!
Jacqui Clay, Receptionist/Duty Manager/Membership Secretary
Jacqui is one of the stall-warts of the club & has worked here for 13 years and is well liked by the members as she always has a smile on her face and a happy-go-lucky outlook on life. She has 2 teenage children & in her spare time she enjoys regular visits to South Africa & in particular the Wine Farm trips but as she doesn’t drink herself (!!!) she is forced to listen to her husband Geoff give his opinion on the various wines & vineyards they visit! On a more serious note Jacqui also has a past to be proud of – that being as a “Champion” in Ballroom & Latin American dance. Feel free to ask her for a twirl around the dance-floor at one of our social events!
Helen Healey, Receptionist/Duty Manager
Helen has worked at the Manor for almost 25 years now starting with Childcare and progressing onto the reception – and in that time she has seen many changes at the club. She is qualified in Duty Management, Childcare & Customer Service and she thoroughly enjoys her role in the club. Outside of work one of her main interests (which she shares with her husband Mick) is her love of sports cars, but Helen also enjoys walking the dog and spending time with her Grandchildren.
Hollie Preston, Reception staff
Hollie is a member of our weekend reception team, but if she’s not working can always be found working out in the gym anyway! Hollie studies Education Studies and Special Needs at Derby University, and also works as a sports coach alongside the Manor. She enjoys swimming, fitness, and attending gym classes when she can.
Emma Page, Bar and Reception staff
Emma is our newest member of reception staff, after starting out as the party girl on the bar in 2012 and joining reception last year. Currently studying Journalism at Nottingham Trent University, Emma hopes to start a career in PR when she graduates. Outside of the Manor, Emma is a qualified Level 2 gymnastics coach, and coaches during the week for a club based at Friesland. Emma works on reception on Sundays, and on the bar when there is a party on. She is always smiling and always willing to help with any inquiries you may have.
Lindsey Williamson, Bar staff
Lindsey is a very thoughtful and helpful member of staff, and is always willing to give 100%. Whenever you go up to the bar, you will find that Lindsey is always busy and helpful at hand. Lindsey is a licensee holder for the bar, and can always be found enjoying her shifts and laughing with the members. As well as being a mum of two, she enjoys travelling the world (recently added New York to her list!), and taking as many sunny holidays as she can afford.
Danielle Chambers, Bar staff
The newly-married Mrs Chambers, Danielle is a very level headed young lady who quickly integrated well with the members and other staff and is a great socialite. She regularly supports club functions with her family and children, Evie, Thomas and the newest addition, Annie. Danielle is currently on maternity leave until September 2015.
Diane Burrows, Bar staff
Diane has worked at the Manor since it opened, and she has an extremely active lifestyle to say the least! As well as being ‘outstanding’ (self-professed) in her Bar-work duties she is addicted to fitness, often taking part in the 3 Peaks/Yorkshire Peaks, running 5 miles a day with her 2 dogs and regularly cycling the 40-mile round trip to the RSPCA centre where Di has worked for the last 20 years. Di also looks after her prize chickens, is a Horticulturalist (specialising in Rose growing) & helps out at the local College during exam times supervising students. What little time she has left is spent on her passion for travel. Her exploits have taken her from Tasmania to the Highlands of Scotland if you have the energy to catch up with her. If you’re tired reading this, try living the lifestyle – it’s great!!
George Allsop MCSP FA, Club Physiotherapist
George has been at the Manor for 12 years & has a practice at Teversal Football Club, working there on a Friday trying to keep the lads fit! George also worked as a Physio for Derby County Ladies Football Club and Ilkeston Town Football Club for a number of years.
