About The Manor Health & Racquets Club
The Manor Health & Racquets Club in Ilkeston is committed to providing a high quality health, fitness, racquets & leisure facility for the local community. The club opened in March 1981 with the intention to create a club that was not only the best in Ilkeston, but as good as any in the UK & today the intention remains the same. New ownership and new Management is making the Manor, once again, the place to be seen.
The Manor has 5 Squash Courts, including 3 championship glass-backed courts. All 5 courts have recently been refurbished & we have both Squash and Racquetball teams represented in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire leagues with a good strong social base and internal leagues played throughout the year. Coaching is also available for adults & juniors alike.
Our club members have achieved fantastic results over the years with the help of our personal fitness programmes devised by our fully qualified, friendly staff. If Physiotherapy and/or rehabilitation is required just drop in to see to our in-house Physiotherapist George, who has over 20 years’ experience in treating sport injuries.
All staff motivate the members to achieve their goals with specialist weight reduction/exercise programmes & there is a large gym and aerobics/dance studio with fitness classes. To unwind you can relax in the separate Men’s & Ladies steam room and sauna before embarking to the bar and restaurant for some well-earned refreshments where all our food is homemade and cooked on the premises.
There are also various opportunities to hire the club for functions and parties at extremely competitive prices and you do not have to be a member to do so, however if you are a member you receive heavily discounted rates.
The Manor is an England Squash and Racquetball Gold Charter Club and provides a safe environment for children as well as an on-site Creche facility. Remarkably, the use of all the facilities are included within your monthly membership.
